Francisco Ladrón de Guevara “What the body thinks about gravity”

5th of May opens a solo show “What the body thinks about gravity” by Francisco Ladrón de Guevara (Spain) at “Si:said” gallery (Darzu st 18, Klaipeda). The opening event is planned at 6 p.m. on the 9th of May.

The exhibition “What the body thinks about gravity” is born with the aim of generating a reflection around the relationship between the body and space. The project uses walking as the main practice of the creation process. It is the relationship between the body and the urban environment which inspires all the pieces of this installation. The subject is melted into an entropic landscape looking for treasures, for the leftovers of a society in constant change, reminders which are collected, transformed, manipulated, and turned into new “obstacles” with a new meaning.

Francisco Ladrón de Guevara (b. 1997) ‒ an emerging artist, graduated from Fine Arts in Granada in 2019. Focussing on his artistic research in dance and visual arts, Francisco Ladrón de Guevara uses different languages as sculpture, drawing, performance, or video to materialize his projects.

The exhibition runs until the 28th of May. The project is supported by Klaipeda municipality
